The Met Gala 2017 - Part I - The Red Carpet

And its that time again ^^
The Met Gala
and I am so excited every year again to see all those amazing high fashion creations and the ideas to interpret the new theme.
It was an amazing event once again and I loved all the amazing and imaginative looks.

The theme, for both the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute exhibition and the Gala, is
Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons
who is the first living designer since Yves Saint Laurent in 1983 to be the sole subject of the Met's blockbuster fashion exhibit.
The exhibition prepares to open on May 4 but the Gala took place yesterday on May 1st.
The gala and exhibition are an annual event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Kawakubo will act as honorary chair alongside Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour.

Again there are just too many amazing looks to not share them with you ;)
Since there are sooo many of them and too many other things about this years Met Gala I decided to split it in four posts :)
I hope it is okay for you
So there is this one about the red carpet fashion, then one about beauty, one about the after party looks and one about Comme des Garçons.

Stranger Things...

Meaning Looks which are not necessarily bad...all the way...but just strange, ott or just somehow not good ;)
I hope you know what I mean

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
-I like the dresses and the idea...but its just too much-

Claire Danes
-I love the idea and the details but its just too chaotic and kind of restless...
The top is very cool but simple and calm trousers would have been way better...its like all the ruffles are fighting...-

Solange Knowles
in Thom Browne and Piaget jewelry
- I´m sorry but wth...-

Thandie Newton
in a custom Monse gown with crystals from Swarovski, with Stuart Weitzman shoes
-ok...sorry but happened here-

in Moschino
-okay I´m sorry but there is absolutely nothing good about this...I mean honestly...-

Alright guys ;)
What do you think?
Which one is your favourite look and which one makes you choke?

I know...many many looks are really not even close to the theme...or you have to be very generous to find a detail or a story on how the look fits, but never the less they are gorgeous most of the time :)

Interested in a closer description of the details -click here- ^^
and if you are interested in more about the looks,
and something about the red carpet trends.

With lots of love
